About the Workshop

The Contemplative Photography workshop is a four-week daily asynchronous, online and in-person, 60-minutes embodied mind training using visual forms and the photographic medium.

For four weeks, every week for one hour you will receive teaching and contemplative exercises and Q&A. We will start each teaching session with formal calm-abiding meditation using the breath for 10 minutes, teaching contemplative photography and visual forms; examples will be presented and discussed.

Then, you will be invited to practice daily on the visual forms we are exploring and contemplating for the week. Participants are invited to share some of their images with the group, and we will talk about their experiences at the end of the week for one hour.
